Friday - A Nice Day for a Tram Ride

Friday, I did a dry run at going up to the OHSU's Women's Health Center from The Holiday Inn on Broadway. I left the lobby at 9:30 a.m., walked to the convention center Max station, hopped on and got off at 11th and Yamhill and walked to the library Street Car station in time to wait 17 minutes in the cold. Then took the street car to the Tram station and purchased a round trip ticket. I went to the 7th floor outdoor garden and looked around and then went up to the 9th floor patio to see the view and then retraced my steps. I did get a latte down at the bottom of the Tram, which was not a quick process. By the time I got back to the hotel it would have been noon, except I HAD to get a hamburger at nearby Burgerville. They have the best!! I figured this would be how long it would take the women who signed up to do this very thing at the AAUW state convention to be held in Portland a week from this Friday. I am to be their fearless leader.... It will be a study in modes of transportation, if nothing else.
