Monday in Sitka

I arrived in Sitka on Sunday via Seattle, Juneau, then Sitka. One of my suitcases made it. The other one went to Cordova. Look that up!! It arrived at 11:30 pm. We eventually decided to pick it up Monday. Shana got on the actual plane I arrived on. She went to Seattle and then on Monday flew to North Carolina.

Max is a happy baby. He fusses if he is tired, hungry, or sleepy otherwise he is good to go. Monday we went out and about for a bit.

Scott, I and the kids went to the local library to return books and get new ones. I checked out a signed copy of The Yiddish Policemen's Union which is a fictional story set in Sitka. Then we went to a little strip mall where nothing was open (Monday) but I took a picture of Madison in a coin operated child's ride (that didn't work) and the we went to the video store where I took pictures of Madison in a rocket ship (that DID work).

We stopped at the Galley Deli and I HAD to order the geoduck chowder to-go. Scott had the Tuscan bean soup and we all had corn bread (and two lemon bars)

Corn bread with coconut. What a great idea. It was heavenly to eat.
