This is the USCG Alert, the cutter Scott and Shana were on. Too bad I couldn't have been one of the civilians who got to ride in from Astoria. Maybe I can do that when Shana eventually gets assigned there.

Ships Start Arriving
Fleet Week of the Rose Festival has started. Yesterday, I sat out in our 12th floor lobby and waited for the ships to arrive. One cutter , one buoy tender, I think, and a boat. Today the bigger Navy ships come in. I like how the fire boats squirt water all over as they escort the ships to the sea wall. I could see the water, but not the boat.
