I joined a tour group of people who attend Portland Center Stage performances for a seven day tour of New York City. It was organized by Break Away Tours of San Diego and they did an excellent job. Everyone had tickets for:
November(with Nathan Lane),
Sunday in the Park with George and The
Country Girl, (Morgan Freeman, Frances McDormand, Peter Gallagher). I got myself tickets on the free nights to
August: Osage County,
Top Girls ( Marisa Tomei, Martha Plimpton, Mary Beth Hurt) and John
Lithgow - Stories By Heart.
We flew on
Continental non-stop leaving at 7:30 a.m. Portland time and arriving at the Newark airport at 3:53 p.m.
I got along well with my roommate, Karen Early. Here is our room and view at the
Millennium Broadway Hotel located at 145 W 44th Street.
Before we went to dinner with the group at
Cafe Un Deux Trois, Karen and I went to nearby
Sardi's for a drink. After trying Karen's nice
Manhattan, I started drinking those before dinner. After all, where WAS I?
