Our first night in Tucson, we had dinner with a couple who live full time at SaddleBrooke. It is part of the Preferred Guest program we were taking part in. At our table was another couple checking out the facility.
Our hostess, Selma Goldstein, along with her husband, were such fun and so informative about SaddleBrooke and Tucson. She is active with a play reading group, bridge, mah jong and swimming! She use to act in plays in Chicago and tried to get a play group going except the others didn't want to memorize anything!
Our host at dinner and later at his home, was Arnie Goldstein. He used to have a automotive parts warehouse in Chicago before he and his wife retire to SaddleBrooke. He also had horses that raced buggies or whatever they are called.
There he is:
I ordered the scallops, which were fabulous, at the Palo Verde Dining Room.
The Goldsteins home was like a museum, so naturally I took a lot of pictures. You, too, will be impressed by their art collection. This is just a sample of what they have in their home. It is so full they have had to stop purchasing pieces.
