Bid For Justice Auction

We attended Willamette University's Bid For Justice auction for the WU Public Interest Law Project held at the Salem Conference Center. It is so nice that Salem now has a decent place to hold events. When we arrived I noticed some high schoolers in the lobby all dressed up for their prom, getting photos taken by parents and friends. When I see this, I always jump right in and take my pictures, too.

Robert and I arrived early so that we could attend the reception for WU Law School's alumni. I was impressed by the food set out for us, along with huge wine glasses with many wine choices.

Smoked salmon and toppings.

Stuffed mushrooms

Robert is here with Don McCann. His wife, Connie, was there, too. Don was in Robert's law class and the four of us were in the same large, new apartment complex.

At 7 pm, we went into the ballroom for the auction where there was even more food and drink to enjoy.
Our guests were: Paula (below) and Tom McGirr. I am sorry I didn't take Tom's picture. He was recovering from rotator cuff surgery and managed to put on his tie even though his arm was in a sling.
Other guests were Don and Liz Oswalt. Liz didn't like that I yelled loudly complaining that she was bidding against me on an item I wanted for Scott and Shana. Some might think that wasn't very gracious when I showed that behavior trait....
Daughter Lee Ann and her good friend Timur Bilir were our other guests.
I see you over there, Bob!
After the auction, at which we bid on many items and won too many, we went on to the restaurant portion of the hotel, Bentley's Grill . Robert had the chocolate choice and I had the lemon/raspberry cake. When are we going to learn to share a dessert between us like everyone else did??!!
