For some time I have lusted after the web sites that have book jackets and book lists going down the sides of their entries. You could spend DAYS looking at such sites. I have. Here are a few: http://fondnessforreading.blogspot.com

I have loved books, old and new, for a long time.
It may have started when attending Roosevelt Elementary School in Corvallis I was selected (or did I volunteer?) to work in the library. We shelved books, helped kids check them out and repaired the bindings with thick colored tape similar to tuct tape. Much later, I worked at the OSU library when a student there.
I never was much of a reader, due to not learning how to read well when young. I either had dyslexia or the teachers taught with only one method and it wasn't what I needed. Somehow I did eventually learn how. Because of all the negative fallout from that issue, I taught my own children how to read before they even started school.
Now my hobby is checking books out from the library. On occasion I actually read one! I always read books selected by my book group, and have non-fiction books around. In addition, I have kept reading lists produced by libraries, magazines, friends, etc. for decades.
Lucky me, I have my own I.T. guy who I just call up and ask for help on my blog. I tried on my own to figure out how to get those book jackets on my blog, but got to the point where I figured I'd totally ruin my fragile setup. So, I told my I.T. Scott, that I joined Library Thing and that some how it would work for putting pictures of books on my blog. There is probably an easier way, but this is what I have. Library Thing is for frustrated librarians who are voracious readers. I lack the voraciousness, but am thrilled to have the books I am currently reading, or planning to read, there for you to see.
So, what do you think?
