Water for Elephants for Book Group

Book group met tonight at Peggy's. She is a great cook and I love how her house is decorated in early American style. She made a great casserole and Terry made excellent salad.

Boy, these paperwhites(narcissus) smelled good. At least, that is what I think they were.

We socialized before dinner, and then after dinner we had our discussion on the book for the month.

Peggy was a bit heavy with the paprika, she claimed, on her broccoli cheese casserole, but it just made it taste better. Really.

I lead the discussion on Water for Elephants. There were different themes to discuss, reviews to quote and opinions to be made. We all liked the book. I brought along a few extra things to make it special (I thought). I played music from an actual circus band before and during dinner, we looked at an art book with circus pictures by Toulouse-Lautrec I found at the library.

These are camellias from Peggy's own garden.
