The Sitka Crew Arrived Monday

The Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday Max, Madison, Shana and Scott arrived from Fresno where they spent a week with Shana's family and celebrated Madison's birthday with 40+ friends and relations. Our condo gets warm from the sun, but this garb, or lack thereof, would never work outside! Weather here has been in the teens and twenties.

Madison got reacquainted with some toys we keep for her.

The new children's store, Little Urbanites, wasn't open, but the owner was there Monday doing some paperwork and let us in to look around. I loved their beagle who knew just the place to lie down.

Max knows what to do when shopping!

I made the Gourmet magazine recipe for Turkey Pot Pie with Cheddar Biscuit Crust (using store roasted chicken) and I have to say it is now in my top ten list of great entrees to make. Click HERE for recipe. I previously had a picture of it on my blog, but had never made it. We all loved it. What a great meal for the frigid weather we are having.


We ate huge cupcakes from Cupcake Jones while Birthday girl Madison had two mini cupcakes.

Green Frog Toys does a great job of wrapping.
