Pink Martini Concert for New Year's Eve

We had a great time at the New Year's Eve Pink Martini concert. Our seats were second row Director's Circle, which was better than second row orchestra, which is what I thought we had. Easy on the neck, this way.
Naturally, I drank a pink martini before the show. Had to.
Norman Leyden, former Portland Symphony Pops Concert Director, played his clarinet for many major pieces with the group and also a solo. His solo was a piece I recognized, but couldn't put a name to it. I loved it, so need to get that info.
I didn't take any pictures until the end, thinking I wasn't supposed to, but wish I had a picture of China Forbes in a beautiful, short black dress that was more flattering for her than the one she changed into. Her voice is so nice to listen to. She sang songs from all their CD's. Toward the end of the concert, she sang Aba Daba said the Monkey to the Chimp (Aba Daba Honeymoon) with Jane Powell. Jane talked about 15 minutes about growing up in Portland. She hadn't been back for about 25 years. She lives with her husband in New York. Jane provided the narration for Thomas' rendition of Peter and the Wolf. The bird didn't die in this story. She didn't want kids to be upset....
