The center pieces were huge glass containers of water with a tall orchid stem immersed inside, with source of light and shade above. It was really cool.
We were served TWO entrees! On the left was a large piece of salmon and on the left a huge stuffed chicken piece. These were placed over potatoes, some vegetables and a yummy sauce. I tell myself over and over again, that I should pack ziplock bags in my purse. You never know when you could take some leftovers home! The convention wasn't set up for 'take home'.

Governor Ted Kulongoski has the Gold Awards to honor and raise money for the Oregon Special Olympics. Many there bid to give various amounts of money to help continue the Oregon Olympics. Robert raised his arm to commit his law firm Black Helterline to add to the total $90,000 raised this night.

After attending this event, I think I will make an effort to find biofuels to use in my car now (made from canola oil, often from Kettle Foods' used oils), buy Country Natural Beef from Whole Foods or New Seasons and volunteer with Special Olympics.
