We can see the river when we come and go to our elevator and as you know I see all kinds of
river traffic. When ever I would see the Willamette Jetboats go screaming by on the river, I thought it would be great fun to try it. So, we headed off on the 2 pm launch. We saw blue herons, an eagle, peregrine falcons, turkey buzzards, cool houseboats, the locks at West Linn, and Willamette Falls. We zoomed along, sometimes as fast as 50 mph stopping and doing tricks so that we all would get soaked. I was in a good spot and didn't get too wet. Robert, on the outside, wasn't so lucky.

For dinner, I had us go to the Everett Street Bistro, where getting there early got us great service and even better food and drink. We didn't want to be rushed going to the movie afterwards. I started out with a fabulous Mango Martini (Mango Martini - house infused mango vodka, Hypnotiq, lemon juice, and topped with champagne). It was so smooth and tasty that I knew I had better stop with one. I then had a Pino Grigio that went well with the Fried Calamari - lightly fried & served with chipotle aioli Robert ordered. They served it up rolled up in a paper such as pomme frites are often served.

Robert ordered Macaroni Gratin - Cavatappi pasta in a three cheese blend, roasted wild mushrooms, pancetta & topped with breadcrumbs & baked. Served with toast points

I had :Braised Short Ribs - Strawberry Mountain short ribs braised and served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables – 16

After dinner, we went to see the film Once at the Fox Tower. I planned a great day!
