Mt. Tabor Picnic AND Bagpipes

We reserved Picnic Shelter "A". Linda Stern looks even smaller than she is, next to a tree.

I attended an AAUW potluck picnic held at the Mt. Tabor Park. What huge trees and lovely setting! The food and company was great. Tender, tasty chicken was brought in from Fryer Tucks. I heard a bagpipe not far from our shelter and went to investigate. Below, you will see what I found out. The area has a natural amphitheater inside the extinct volcano center.

Amphitheater. Jean Messick, Eileen Elliot (in back) and Julie Skinner.

Eva Rippeteau, rode her bike up the mountain. Jan Eastman enjoyed the large trees in the park

The Portland Metro Pipe Band
was practicing at the park for this Saturday Highland Games held at Mt. Hood Community College. They just formed in Sept. and don't have matching kilts yet, but will when they have the money. Now money is spent on their instruments.
