Book Group Makes Selections for Next Year

I brought four books to suggest the group read and two of them are on our list: Water for Elephants, The Memory Keepers Daughter, and Red Water, Christine Falls, Suite Francaise, The Madonnas of Leningrad, The Yiddish Policemen's Union, One Thousand White Women:The Journals of May Dodd.

I ate all that and two desserts. Is it any wonder I don't lose weight for long. Have you seen any pictures on this blog of me exercising or eating tiny amount of food? There is always tomorrow....

Jan Eastman and our hostess Maxine McComas

Martha Powell and Barbara Gaines

Sue Albert and Doris Green settled down in Maxine's kitchen, with Doris' tasty deviled eggs nearby.

The curry rice salad was great. Who made it? I meant to find out. Everyone loves a fruit salad and Linda came to the rescue with hers.

I brought two salads, not a good idea, since it made me late, but I made Beth Paul's Greek salad and a spinach/strawberry salad I had when my Salem Bunco group went to Black Butte.

Cynthia Townsend, Martha Powell, and Gail Post listen as Sue explains how each of us have 8 votes for the 40 choices!
