Dinner at our Favorite Restaurant - D.F.

Robert had a hard day and I had just returned from the beach. I asked him if he wanted to go eat at D.F., or have me cook --we went to the Mexican restaurant just a block away. It is Robert's favorite. D.F. (pronounced in Spanish - "Day" "Effay") is Urban Mexian Cuisine found in Mexico City. The "D" and "F" stand for Districto Federal, the offical name of Mexico City.
He had their special Margarita and I had Sangria.

Robert had guacamole, I had Mexican Shrimp Bisque. A Non-Dairy Casabel Chile bisque with corn and tortilla strips, thickened with masa.

Robert was thrilled to hear that one of the day's specials was clam strips with asparagus. He loves seafood and he rarely gets clams.

I had their Tamale special: Tamal Pollo Nortena - Chicken marinated and roasted with guaillo chilies, steamed in masa, and served in a light tomato broth.
