From High Finance To Great Theatre

Wednesday, Robert and I put some money into a savings account at Banner Bank, that opened a new branch downtown on 101 SW Main Street Suite 154. The interest rate is 5.26% with an annual percentage yield of 5.40%. We thought that sounded good. It took awhile for the paperwork to get done. Some bugs haven't been worked out and they have new hires. Of course, I figured I didn't need to take my camera because what would I possibly want to take a picture of at a bank, for goodness sake. Yet, they had a cool coffee pot that you put an individual container of coffee into and put the lid down and push the button for the size you want (8 oz.) and out comes the coffee into a nice mug you place in the correct spot. It is called Keurig, and is "the leading single-cup brewing system in the workplace in North American". I was impressed. The bank had a fancy one, but they have models for the home, too.
Then that evening we saw an excellent play by August Wilson, Fences. “What makes Fences so engrossing, so embracing, so simply powerful, is Wilson’s startling ability to tell a story.” —Clive Barnes, New York Post.
We have one more play to see at Portland Center Stage - Bad Dates. It sounds fun.
