Beth wanted to eat a salad for lunch and had never been to Andina, so off we went stopping into shops along the way. First thing they do there is bring you bread and a variety of spicy dipping sauces. We didn't care for any of them. Getting butter instead was no easy feat.

I had their soup - can't even remember what it was, but it did have squash and zucchini. Nice taste, could have been hotter, though. A wide, shallow bowl makes it hard to get hot soup at your table.
Beth enjoyed her salad, but I think she would have liked more. Me, being the pig, knew to order two items (plus a glass of wine). We did have to remind them about our beverage order, however.
I had a small plate of their quinoa salad. Since I cook with quinoa I wanted to know what they did. I like the idea of layering the salad instead of mixing it up. I just need some similar rings to prepare them in.
Beth and I caught the street car after going into Portland Center Stage where I exchanged a ticket, then wandered through Sur La Table nearby. We headed down to see Robert at the Fox Tower.
