Oddwater Show at Oregon Coast Aquarium

You simply MUST get to the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport and see the current show _ Oddwater.
Today, Jean drove us to Newport with various stops along the way. We heard that there was a killer whale in the bay at Depoe Bay, but all we saw was a Coast Guard boat practicing towing another Coast Guard boat. Then we went to the aquarium where there is a show that I had heard was great. Finally, I had someone to go to it with. Jean is a member and had a ticket for me to use. Next month, I think I will join, too.

This fish, below, was upside down, the others weren't, in the first display in the show. Each tank had fabulous blown glass work inside that enhanced the fish with its form, function and beauty. The glass was done by The Edge Art Gallery in South Beach. It was all dazzling.
While there we went through the permanent displays, too.

What you see here is all glass. No fish.

Hey, it isn't fish chowder! It's bean soup with chicken, with only about 10 beans and little chicken. Cafe Stephanie was open in Nye Beach, while Nana's Irish Pub was closed. Too bad.
