Max and Scott came to meet us at the airport and lead us to a place to park since the town streets were blocked off because of the parade. We wouldn't have been able to locate our place because of it. We missed the best part - the flyover of two helicopters. We did see them heading back to the station, however.
Max slept through our arrival....zzzzzzzzz
Right after Lee Ann and I arrived we headed over to the very end of the July4th parade down the main street of Sitka.
See Shana in her uniform? She had already marched in the parade.
The end of the parade was about every fire truck in town!
After the parade we headed over to our lodging. Christy Lowry, Madison and Lee Ann are outside our cute cottage.
Then we headed to the food fair at the playground of the local grade school.
Lee Ann and I had these great sausage dogs. Ever seen pink sauerkraut before?
