AAUW at Albertina's Restaurant

Thursday, the Portland Branch of AAUW had its final meeting at Albertina's Restaurant which is part of The Old Kerr Nursery. It was originally the home of Albertina and Alexander Kerr, who was the founder of the Kerr Canning Jar Company in Portland. The Albertina Kerr Centers provide services to children, adults and families with mental health challenges and developmental disabilities. They recently celebrated their 100th year of service.

Our first course was a cup of broth based mushroom soup. Nice, AND I learned the recipe is in their cookbook which I then remembered I bought last time I was there! Where is it?

Not your typical Caesar salad. Plenty of tasty chicken, bib lettuce with a cheese wafer.

Strawberry shortcake with fresh local berries.

Out-going Co-President Julie Skinner, in-coming President Gail Post, and out-going Prez. Linda Stern. They can smile; I just didn't take the picture then....
