Tartan Ball & Ceilidh

We received notice of the 53th Annual Clan Macleay Pipe Band Tartan Ball and Ceilidh (Kay-Lee) to be held at the Airport Sheraton Hotel Ballroom. We headed out, underdressed (yet presentable) , and had a great time enjoying the company, music and sights. On the program:Holding Out Band, Clan Gordon Pipe Band (Tacoma), Portland Metro Pipe Band, MacKenzie and Highland Dance Company (Lake Oswego).

Major Frank W. McIntosh (United States Army (Ret) and his wife, Margaret poised for me. Note his walking stick.

This is the walking stick that Frank picked as a branch outside of Inverness, Scotland at the site of the Battle of Culloden in 1746. He brought it back to USA and had it made into a walking stick. At the battle 500 of the McIntosh clan were slaughtered by the British. Robert, Scott, Lee Ann and I walked the very battle fields of Culloden.
Frank introduced me to Ogden Kimberley, who is the best piper in the entire area. I will hire him to play sometime in the future.
