My AAUW Curtain Call group attended the Jesuit High School production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. You probably know that the music is by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Lyrics by Tim Rice. The music isn't memorable, but the production we saw was fabulous and time is running out to see it since the last night is November 11. Jesuit is not your typical public school, since it is a large private high school. Even then, it probably is far from a typical private school. Their tickets, for instance, are though Ticketmaster!
The singers were great, but what was so impressive to me was the lighting, set, costumes and choreography. The orchestra was excellent, too. Watching the students and the young kids from the children's chorus was a treat.
Their next play will be Little Women The Broadway Musical Feb 28- March 9.
Before the show we ate at Ernesto's Italian Restaurant. I ordered the earlybird trio of three different entrees, however, that same meat sauce was poured over it all which made them taste the same.
