From Breakfast to Broadway

Robert and I started out the day trying to find Sawtooth a Grand Central Bakery business on York Street. We never could find it, so went to St. Honore on Thurman St. We bought some bread for a dinner party tonight and a great savory breakfast pastry and coffee.

Doris Green met me this afternoon at The Living Room Theater at 10th and Stark for a light lunch and a show. We saw Show Business. If you love musicals and Broadway as I do, you will LOVE this film. It covers "the course of one Broadway musical season (2003-2004). "Show Business" follows the four high-profile productions that would eventually become Tony nominees: a big-noise musical named "Wicked," the Rosie O'Donnell/Boy George collaboration, "Taboo," the much-anticipated Tony Kushner musical, "Carolin, or Change," and an irreverent puppet show named 'Avenue Q.' "

Doris had a duck confit crepe with cinnamon apples. She liked it.

I ordered a curry chicken rice paper wrap. The green stuff I couldn't recognize and had the chef come out to tell me it was parsley and pineapple! Who knew! The menu didn't list it. It was supposed to have a peanut sauce.
