First Thursday in August

We invited Arlyn Hummel to join us for dinner and to check out First Thursday. Here, Arlyn and Robert are standing in front of some glass artwork that was on 13th street where people put up their art, a la street fair, as opposed to in Galleries. We went into at least 8 or 10 galleries and a few shops. Many had wine, food and live music.

We ate dinner a bit late, due to all our gallery and party hopping. I served food I had purchased at the Farmer's Market held at the Eco Trust parking lot at 4:30. Pretty darned fresh, I'd say. I baked a salmon Robert caught that was perfect, using a recipe for Baked Salmon Dijon from my Secrets of the Lean Plate Club book.

For dessert, Arlyn and I had frozen sandwiches from the now famous Ruby Jewel.
