Artichokes love growing at the beach, so I planted one that has grown very large. I have cut them off and cooked them to eat and, also, let them stay on the plant to dry, then cut them to decorate with. This time I brought three inside last Sunday and set them on a container, stem down. Two of the three opened up while we were there this weekend. It is fun to see the pretty purple centers just peeking out and then opening up wider. This first one will be opening up later.
