Saturday and Sunday, Father's Day Weekend

Saturday morning, Robert played golf with Al Watkins who now has a bionic shoulder and knee, I think just to get an edge over Robert on the golf course. Well, I got up as usual and made Robert a great breakfast. This time not the usual, toad-in-the-hole, but an egg sandwich.

That evening, Al Watkins grilled chicken and pineapple slices to go with the green beans, salad and mango salsa.

We couldn't eat until Robert saw the end of the first OSU baseball game at the World Series. We won just as Al reported the chicken was done. Jean always puts on a great spread. Bruce and Diane Warne were guests, besides us.

Sunday morning, before breakfast, we walked along the beach and looked at what the very low tide uncovered.

We had breakfast at Surfrider Restaurant. Robert had their special of fried clams, eggs, and hash browns with a side order of three oysters. A perfect Father's Day breakfast. I, on the other hand, had french toast. We watched a bald eagle in a nearby tree.
Then Robert went off to play golf at Agate Beach Golf Course. He just shows up and they put him with a group. Al was still sore from the day before. His shoulder surgery wasn't that long ago....
