Friday, after work, Robert picked me up and we headed to Beaverton's Malibu Grand Pix Go-Kart entertainment center. I had never done it before and killed the engine on my first two tries. Then I got the hang of it, but never went too fast in my five times around the track. The workers only tracked the speed of the fastest drivers, so I have no idea how well I did, but each time I got faster. We had Buster's Barbecue to eat during the Black Helterline Law Firm fun evening. The weather was great.
We went home and later after hearing explosion noises, we ran to the patio and watched a long fireworks show kicking off the Rose Festival. I love fireworks. One year we were right there at Tom McCall Park and saw the display right above us. Closer is better, but our view was still great and no problem with crowds!
