Jane Lancaster organized Portland's first AAUW recognition of outstanding young, high school junior, female scholars in Math, Science and Technology. Cleveland, Wilson, Pauling Academy of Marshall High, and Power Academy of Roosevelt High were represented. This was held Sunday at PSU's Smith Building.
Robert and I missed the speakers, but it seemed like a joyful event. Parents and families of the eleven girls were proud as were the friends and AAUW members in attendance.
