Today, I drove to Salem to take my mother, Margaret Ebert, to see her doctor. Figuring out how to get her there was tricky. The new, huge building where many doctors now have offices isn't accessible on Oak Street as it used to be. They actually have free valet parking in the lower level! After I dropped her off, she went ahead and found the office. I managed to get there, too. It was a functional IQ test. We both managed to pass it! Later, she got the "privilege" of then going to the Lab. It all took a long time. She had fasted since her 5:30 evening dinner, and was beginning to get hungry by 12:30. I was hungry and had had breakfast! I decided we could check out a place nearby. So, we headed to the Best Little Road House (where Dr. Munchies used to be) on Owens St. I took a picture of her seating at our booth. The US HWY 101 sign was behind her. After taking that picture, I learned I had forgotten to recharge my batteries. So, you will be happy not to see FOOD pictures. After our hamburgers, we went to Macey's, where mother shopped for shoes and lipstick. She made it back to the Capital Manor in time to watch the Mariners opening game!
