Russell Street Bar-B-Que after Used Book Store

March 14, Exploring Portland went to Title Wave Used Book Store, 216 NE Knott St. where Multnomah Library takes its old books it no longer wants in its libraries. This is a great place to hunt around to find books you want. I purchased many childrens books and a cookbook. From there we walked to Russell Street BAR-B-QUE, just off MLK on 325 NE Russell St. I had, pictured, their Virginia Pulled Pork-Tender, "shredded pork on a roll with the slaw right on there". It came with a side, which I picked as "Mess O'Greens". We loved our food. Linda Stern had Smoked Beef Brisket on a roll. Jan Johnson had a Root Beer Float for dessert, after her Bar-B-Que Salad. Don't go if you are in a hurry; the kitchen was a bit slow, but the place was very popular. People know it is the place to go!
